How to read your new meter
Your new meter will have enhanced metering technology with advanced features, including leak detection, backflow monitoring, and remote meter reading.
Use the EyeOnWater® consumer portal
Please note that the EyeOnWater® consumer portal will not be available for Town of Cupar water meter customers at the start of the program. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update when the app becomes available.
Once your new meter has been installed, you will be able to monitor your daily usage with the EyeOnWater® consumer portal, which can be accessed on your web browser or on your mobile device (available for Android smartphones and iOS devices).
The consumer portal will allow you to view your detailed water usage history with hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly consumption data.
Manually Read Your Meter
To manually read your meter, lift the lid on the encoder to view the dial face.
The numbers with segmented lines (bars) before the decimal point show how many cubic metres of water you've used, and the numbers after the decimal point show fractions of one cubic metre.
To determine your daily water usage, take a reading at a set time of day, then take a second reading at the same time the next day. The difference between the two readings is your daily water consumption.
